From darkness to light is not a moment

Talking, doing a podcast, having a conversation is not the same as stopping to reflect and writing a thought out in full.

In fact, it has happened to me to read a book, watch a film based on that same book and see lost those nuances that only a good story full of details can give you. In the same way, an eye cannot capture as many nuances and sensations as writing can.

Reading the details of a dish can whet your appetite, make your mouth water, make you imagine tactile sensations. Looking can only make you want it and notice details.

I love mixing music, I love playing it, I love doing new things with music, and as a DJ I always loved the moment night fell, because the dance lights could come on. Colours and sounds blending together. A moment I still love today, one that sets the scene for a soundtrack. That darkness of the night, though, at the dawn of a new day, used to throw me off. That new light, after that night, after those artificial spotlights, blinded me. In front of the light of that new day, and after that night of sounds and shadows, everything looked uglier. Even my face looked older.

Staying in the dark becomes like a rest. Stepping into the light, real hard work.

Darkness is something that hides, like a dark suit, the flaws of our body.

Light is something that shows, like checking yourself and showing your flaws too, becoming free from preconceptions and judgements.

Living more by day than by night was a slow transition in my life. Like every awareness, it comes with the years, with experience and with the sum of events.

Life, in the eyes of a rational person, becomes like a funnel: it starts with being able to pour everything into it, and ends with letting only what is necessary pass through.

An acquisition of concepts that only going into the narrow part of that funnel can make you understand.

Light is a synonym of truth, of knowing a path, of showing yourself without fear, of being a target aware of being hit, of showing yourself and taking the blows, of showing yourself and not being afraid of running away, of not lying, of clarity.

I switched this light on over myself when I was tired of the suffering I had received and caused myself with my behaviour.

This light was above me like the lamp in your room that you decide not to switch on because you prefer to contemplate everything in the dark.

I switched that light on because I was tired of those thoughts produced in the dark that only gave me anger and the urge to react recklessly. That light made me accept my mistakes, look at them, weigh them, fix them and improve, because in the dark I could feel them but not see them for what they were.

A light can make darkness vanish. Darkness cannot put out a light.

There is a Light over you: switch it on.

There is the only Light waiting for your like
